You work hard and achieve a great success. Everyone congratulates you. But deep down, you feel like you don't deserve it, you're just lucky. This chronic fear is called imposter syndrome.

The term was first introduced to the world in 1978 by psychologists Pauline Klance and Suzanne Ames. It is not a clinical illness or mental disorder, but a type of mental state that can affect anyone. According to a study published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, between 9 percent and 82 percent of people in the world experience this feeling at least once in their lives.
