Japan-China dispute escalates; Japan raises concerns over regional security

 

 

Singapore: At an international security conference held in Singapore on May 31, 2026, Japan's Defense Minister expressed serious concerns about China's rapid military development and increasing military activities. He warned that China's actions could threaten peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

Japan pointed out that China's military presence in the Taiwan Strait, East China Sea and South China Sea is increasing, which is causing concern in neighboring countries.

Meanwhile, China responded that Japan's remarks are baseless. Chinese officials clarified that their defensive measures are to ensure national security and are not aimed at other countries.

With the escalation of the dispute between the two countries, the security situation in the Asian region is once again gaining international attention.
