The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization has made significant changes to the Wage Protection System (WPS), providing great relief to companies in the UAE.
The ministry is implementing a phased approach through the new order that does not immediately take drastic action against companies that delay salaries, but provides sufficient time to correct mistakes. According to the new salary law, which came into effect from the first day, the earlier announcement was that salaries should be paid on the first day of every month and action would be taken against the company if it is delayed by one day.
