Social media to be banned for under-16s in UK

 

 

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has made a crucial announcement to ensure the online safety of children. He announced that social media will be banned from providing services to under-16s in the UK.

This ban may apply to all major platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X. It is indicated that the first phase of the restrictions may come into effect by March 2027. Keir Starmer assures that by imposing the ban, children will be given back their childhood.
