Indian to lead social media messaging app WhatsApp. Kunal Shah, a 47-year-old Mumbai native, will be the head of WhatsApp. Kunal Shah was the founder of leading financial institution Cred.

Kunal Shah will succeed Will Cathcart, who has led WhatsApp since 2019. Meta believes that Shah's arrival at the helm will help bring about big changes at WhatsApp.
