Trump administration partially lifts AI export ban on Anthropic

Washington: The Trump administration has partially lifted the export ban on leading artificial intelligence company Anthropic. The government imposed restrictions on the company's cutting-edge models two weeks ago in view of the threat of cyber attacks.

With the new order, the company's flagship model 'Mythos 5' will be available to more than 100 selected companies and government agencies. However, the ban on another advanced model of the company, 'Fable 5', still continues.

These restrictions have been a cause for great concern in the US AI industry. With Chinese AI technology growing rapidly, such government interventions are expected to affect the global dominance of American companies. Leading company OpenAI has also limited the release of its new 'GP5.6' model due to similar cybersecurity concerns.
