Austin: As the 'birth tourism' controversy rages, Governor Greg Abbott has announced an investigation into a Texas hospital. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered an investigation into the 'Mission Regional Medical Center' in Texas for allegedly advertising 'birth tourism' packages to foreigners to obtain US citizenship.

Governor's stance: The governor clarified that it is illegal for hospitals to offer 'birth packages' to attract foreigners with the aim of obtaining US citizenship, and that the Texas healthcare system will not be misused for this purpose.

Hospital response: Like other hospitals, they were only sharing information about health services, and the hospital authorities have now completely withdrawn these advertisements. They added that they do not support any illegal activity.
