Washington DC: Iran has launched a ballistic missile strike on a US military base in Jordan, the first since Trump suspended the strikes for diplomatic talks.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that US air defense systems successfully intercepted all missiles fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The incident came at a time when President Trump had temporarily suspended attacks on Iran to allow for diplomatic talks. This could further escalate the situation in the region.

In response to the series of drone attacks, US and Saudi warplanes have attacked Iranian supply chains and weapons facilities in eastern Iraq. Trump has warned of strong military action if talks fail.
