Huge fraud in Canada in the name of spiritual healing; Police are looking for an Indian-origin man

 

 

Police have intensified their investigation into an Indian man who defrauded a person of more than eight hundred thousand dollars in the name of spiritual healing and witchcraft in Toronto, Canada. The police are looking for Gangadhar Babu, who ran an establishment called 'Indian Psychic and Spiritual Healer'. It is suspected that he fled to India fearing arrest.

The accused exploited the victim's belief in supernatural powers to commit the fraud. Toronto police said that the fraud was carried out by threatening the victim and her loved ones with death or serious accidents if they did not pay him. He stole the money between April 2024 and September last year.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Babu across Canada. He is five feet six inches tall, has a slim build, black curly hair and a trimmed beard. There is a clear gap between his front teeth.
