UPI services will remain free for consumers: Payments Council of India

 

 

 

The Payments Council of India has denied the rumours of imposing service charges for UPI transactions. UPI services will remain free for consumers. The Payments Council of India has clarified that no charges will be levied from the common man.

Small merchants will also not be affected. If merchant service charges are applicable, it is only a matter between the merchants and the banks. The Payments Council of India has clarified that this will not affect consumers.
