The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have arrested a minor teenager who was planning to carry out a terrorist attack on a school in Montreal, Canada. He was taken into custody at his home on Friday after a weeks-long investigation based on information provided by the American intelligence agency, the FBI.

It is suspected that he used artificial intelligence to plan the attack. In addition, he spread threatening messages targeting Muslims, the Haitian community and the LGBTQ+ community through the Telegram platform, police spokesman Ensign Eric Gass said.

The man was taken into custody by the Joint Investigative Team (INSET), which ensures national security. Police said they are questioning him and are continuing to search the home for electronic devices.

Legal action is being taken to prevent suspicious movements and keep them under surveillance. The police added that he will be produced in the juvenile court on Saturday and a proper charge sheet will be filed after further investigations.
