A 42-year-old Montreal man has been arrested in connection with a case involving the forging of fake documents and the issuance of visas to several people. The case was filed following an investigation by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

The main allegation against him is that he helped prepare fake visas and refugee applications for about 60 people between January 2022 and March 2024. In addition, the investigating agency states that he facilitated the illegal entry and stay of 53 people in Canada using the forged visas.

It has also been found that he committed fraud by creating sponsorship letters using four fake Canadian passports. He claimed to be a leading immigration consultant with offices in Canada, France and Bangladesh. In May 2025, police found crucial documents related to the fraud during a search of his home. Kasim has been charged with five serious crimes, including conspiracy, facilitating illegal entry, and using a forged passport.

However, police have received information that Kasim left Canada in June 2025.
