London: Seven people including two policemen died tragically in a road accident in Middlesbrough, Britain. The accident occurred when a Volkswagen Passat car traveling in the wrong direction on the A-66 highway collided with a police car.
The incident took place at around 4 am on Saturday. The car's occupants, Michael Robert Cahill (23), Theo Ray (17), Cole Robert Worthy (16), Jacob Madusiak (23), Mackay Saddington (18), and police officers Matthew Blades (38) and Tom Clough (37), who were on duty, died at the scene.
Cleveland Police has officially confirmed the deaths of the police officers. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched a thorough investigation into the accident.
