South Africa: Two-time world boxing champion Solani Tethe (38) was shot dead outside his home in Mdatsane, South Africa.

He was waiting to open the gate at his home in his car at around 6:30 pm on Friday when two unidentified masked men opened fire on him.

Tethe died at the scene after trying to drive his car into the yard. A 27-year-old woman who was with him was injured and is undergoing treatment.

The former IBF and WBO champion holds the record for the fastest knockout in a World Cup match, knocking out his opponent in just 11 seconds in 2017. Police have intensified the search for the suspects.
