Nepal flash floods; Death toll rises to 538

Kathmandu: The death toll in Nepal, which was devastated by flash floods, is rising sharply. The bodies of 538 people have been recovered. 121 people from foreign countries, including 85 Indian tourists, have been rescued so far. The figures are from the Nepal Tourism Board. There is no information about eight Malayalis. NORKA said that information about them has been handed over to the Ministry of External Affairs.

Rescue operations are progressing in Nepal on a wartime basis for the third consecutive day. Air Force aircraft will again arrive in Nepal with more assistance. An Air Force aircraft will leave for Nepal today. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that 320 Indians are missing in the disaster.
