India Wins Women's Asia Cup T20 Title

 

India has won the Women's Asia Cup T20 title, defeating Sri Lanka by 72 runs in the final. This marks India's eighth title victory. Chasing a target of 184 runs, Sri Lanka was bowled out for 111.

Batting first, India scored 183 runs for the loss of five wickets. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma both scored half-centuries; Shafali scored 68 runs off 39 balls, while Smriti scored 59 runs off 39 balls. Richa Ghosh (17 off 13 balls), G. Kamalini (15 off 5 balls), and Harmanpreet Kaur (14 off 14 balls) also contributed significantly for India.
