2026 Booker Prize Shortlist Announced

 

 

The shortlist for the 2026 Booker Prize has been announced. Six novels were selected for the final list from an initial longlist of 13 works.

The works that made it to the shortlist are: *The End of Everything* by M. John Harrison; *The Disappearers* by Marlon James; *Black Bag* by Luke Kennedy; *May We Feed the King* by Rebecca Perry; *The Things We Never Said* by Elizabeth Strout; and *John of John* by Douglas Stuart.

81-year-old M. John Harrison is a notable figure on the list. If he wins the Booker Prize this time, he will set the record for being the oldest person ever to receive the award.
