More than 30 people were killed and several others injured in three separate shooting incidents in South Africa. The police have launched a massive manhunt to locate the perpetrators. The first shooting occurred in the Wedela township in the West Rand district, outside Johannesburg; there, a group of about eight individuals opened fire on people who were drinking outside a tavern on Saturday evening.

Four people were killed in another attack that took place on Saturday evening in the Khayelitsha township of the Western Cape. The third attack occurred early Sunday morning at a recreational venue in the Lwandle township, also in the Western Cape.
