Indian Community Observes Gandhi Jayanti at Los Angeles Consulate

California: Various events were organized across Southern California and Nevada under the leadership of the Indian Consulate in Los Angeles to mark the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

At a ceremony held at the L.A. Lake Shrine in collaboration with the Self-Realization Fellowship, floral tributes were offered at the memorial housing Gandhiji's ashes. Consul General Dr. K.J. Srinivasa interacted with community leaders and spoke about the significance of Gandhian philosophies.

Additionally, 'Swasth Bharat, Vikshit Bharat' (Healthy India, Developed India) themed health runs were organized in Las Vegas and San Diego. Many Indian expatriate families spanning different generations actively participated in these events.
