Washington D.C.: Rare changes have been made to the Social Security pension disbursement schedule for the coming months. More than 56 million retired employees and their dependents receive Social Security benefits, with an average monthly payment of $2,084.

The schedule for November has been altered due to the Veterans Day public holiday on November 11. Regarding the November change: those born between the 1st and the 10th of the month—who would normally receive their payment on November 11—will instead receive it on Tuesday, November 10.

Since November 1 falls on a Sunday, the November benefit will be distributed on Friday, October 30. Consequently, there will be two payments in October and none in November. Payments will subsequently be made on December 1 and December 31 (since January 1 is a holiday).
