The first phase of voting has commenced as part of a historic referendum that will determine Alberta’s future and its relationship with the country. Approximately 310 advance polling stations have been opened for voters across the province. Elections Alberta anticipates a high turnout for the vote, which addresses critical questions regarding potential separation from the country.

The ballot contains a total of 10 questions. The first nine focus on issues related to Canada’s constitution and immigration. The tenth question—which has garnered the most discussion—asks whether Alberta should remain part of Canada.

The voting process, which began earlier this month, will conclude next Monday. Authorities have stated that the results of this pivotal referendum on the province's future will be officially announced the following day. This vote, which has caused a significant stir in Canadian political history, is being watched with great anticipation by all.
