Reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump held critical discussions with the National Security Council at the White House regarding the resumption of military operations against Iran. Trump met with top officials from the Pentagon and the security establishment to deliberate on fresh airstrikes aimed at completely destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities. Trump warned that a final decision regarding Iran would be reached soon, noting that while he has no desire to destroy the rest of the country, such action might become necessary.
Although awaiting political directives from Washington, the United States Central Command has completed all preparations for launching large-scale attacks on Iran. Meanwhile, as the prospect of war grows in the region, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi has made it clear to Trump that Iraq will, under no circumstances, permit the use of its airspace or territory for attacks against neighboring nations. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he reiterated that the sovereignty of nations must be respected and that Iraq will not allow its territory to be used for acts of aggression.
