Famous Punjabi rapper linked to Toronto Punjabi rapper killed in India.He was 28 years old. Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab, local media reported on Sunday.

Sidhu came to Canada in 2016 after graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering in India. Sidhu, an international student at Humber College, Ontario, has performed extensively in various parts of Canada. The first show, as part of Sidhu's back-to-back shows in eight cities across Canada, was scheduled for July 23 in Vancouver.

Earlier this year, Sidhu contested as a Congress candidate in the Punjab elections but lost. Sidhu's security was withdrawn by the Punjab Police after the Punjab government passed a law to remove security for politicians to eradicate VIP culture. His murder is reported to have taken place shortly after this.
