Canada's most expensive city: Toronto overtakes Vancouver on the list

Toronto is currently the most expensive city in Canada.  Toronto overtook Vancouver to top the list. Toronto was named the most expensive city in Canada in Mercer's 2022 cost of living ranking. Toronto is the 89th most expensive city in the world. Meanwhile, Vancouver dropped to 108th place from 93rd place last year. Toronto ranked 98th last year. 

Other expensive cities in Canada are Montreal, Ottawa, and Calgary. Hong Kong topped the list of the most expensive cities in the world. The cities of Zurich and Geneva were also ranked second and third. Mercer's survey is based on people's lifestyles, food, housing, and transportation. A representative from Canada for Mercer said that while Canadian cities offer relatively affordable housing and attractive employment opportunities for expatriate and remote workers, in developed cities, On the other hand, it is likely that the prices of goods and services will increase greatly.
