The Global Indian Council ( GIC ) Global President Mr. P C Mathew, nominated Runy Chandy, Shyam Prabhakaran, and Ajith Pillai as the National Coordinators of GIC Singapore, to promote its activities in the beautiful “Lion City”. The decision was taken in a meeting of Pravasi Indians in Singapore held on 24 August 2022. Rajesh Unni the global founding member will be backing the formation work in Singapore. The participants expressed their willingness to build up the Indian community of Singapore to greater heights through the visions of the Global Indian Council.

The Global Indian Council (GIC) was formed with the lofty ideal of providing a common platform for people of Indian origin living in various countries; fostering closer bonds and cooperation of an extensive network across the globe. GIC is committed to enhancing and improving the working conditions of our professionals and students abroad, exchanging ideas on art and culture, and offering educational and training opportunities to our members, aspiring youth, and professionals around the globe.
GIC Global President Mr. P.C Mathew thanked all the functioning GIC National Committees in various countries, for their encouraging spirit and confidence and assured the support of the GIC Global Cabinet, GIC Ambassadors & its 22 Centers of Excellence in all their future endeavors.
